Public Mac takeoff check: 1.6.27 build 99
Tested by the PolyPDF publisher, Euclidean Software LLC, on on macOS 26.4, and repeated on (US Eastern time) on a MacBook Air with Apple silicon and macOS 26.4.1. This is a publisher test of the public Mac app, not independent certification.
The Willow Creek A101 drawing measured 96 ft wide, 60 ft deep, and 5,760 sq ft gross. The scale and all three values were unchanged after saving the PDF, closing and reopening it, and quitting and reopening the app.

The November 5 session also produced a flooring takeoff check and an electrical route check.
What was tested?
| 20 ft scale reference | 360 PDF points, so 18 PDF points per ft |
|---|---|
| Independent width | 96 ft |
| Independent depth | 60 ft |
| Outside gross footprint | 5,760 sq ft |
| Worksheet length row | 2 measurements; SUM(96 + 60) = 156 ft |
| Worksheet area row | 1 measurement; SUM(5760) = 5,760 sq ft |
| Save, close, reopen | Scale and all three values unchanged |
| Quit the app, reopen | Scale and all three values unchanged |
| Metric, then Imperial (November 4 only) | 535.12 sq m displayed; 5,760 sq ft restored |
| Fourth measurement (November 4 only) | Refused: Free allows 3 hand-created measurements per document |
Repeat the check
- Note your installed version, build and operating system. This test used the public Mac 1.6.27 build 99 download with a fresh user profile and no license key entered.
- Open Willow Creek A101, Revision A · source PDF. The two-page drawing is synthetic and not for construction.
- Set the scale from the printed 20 ft graphic reference with Snap to Content on. The test span was 360 PDF points, giving 18 PDF points per foot. Check the independent 96 ft and 60 ft dimensions before measuring area.
- Trace the outside footprint. Export the worksheet as CSV. Save a copy of the PDF, close it, reopen it, and compare the scale and quantities.
- Quit and reopen the app, open the saved copy, and compare again. Switching to Metric displayed 29,260.80 mm, 18,288.00 mm and 535.12 sq m in the November 4 test.
Read the CSV correctly
The first table contains one area row and one grouped length row. The lower Group/Value summary repeats those quantities by subject; adding both tables would double count them. The 156 ft total is the sum of two independent dimensions, not the 312 ft perimeter. The 5,760 sq ft footprint includes walls and is not net installed flooring or a complete estimate.
What this record does not cover
- This record covers build 99 only. Later PolyPDF releases were not part of it.
- Windows, Pro features, symbol counts, net flooring quantities and complete estimates were not tested here. Flooring and electrical have their own records, linked above.
- The test ran under Free limits. No license key was entered, and Pro was not activated or tested. On both test Macs the Upgrade window showed a notice that the app could not confirm a Pro license; the Free limit still applied.
- The saved drawing was reopened in PolyPDF and was also opened in Apple Preview. On November 6, 2026, Preview showed the area label and outline but not the two dimension labels. Adobe Acrobat and other PDF viewers were not checked.
- The November 5 run used automated control of the app’s normal interface. In that drawing the captions were dragged clear of the printed room labels in the app; the measured values did not change. Dates stored inside the PDF are in UTC, so they read November 6.
Earlier example
The October 17 test on Mac 1.6.14 build 76 keeps its own measured PDF, CSV and scope. It is a separate, older record of an earlier development build.
