Public Mac flooring takeoff check: 1.6.27 build 99
Tested by the PolyPDF publisher, Euclidean Software LLC, on (US Eastern time). The Willow Creek I101 floor finish plan measured 5,184 sq ft of F1 resilient flooring and 576 sq ft of F2 porcelain tile (288 + 288), all to room dimension boundaries. These match the schedule printed on the sheet. They are finish-zone quantities with no wall-thickness deductions, not net installed flooring, and they exclude waste.

What was measured?
| Scale | 20 ft printed reference = 360 PDF points, so 18 PDF points per ft |
|---|---|
| F1 resilient flooring | 5,184 sq ft, one outline that goes around rooms 107 and 108; 360 ft perimeter |
| F2 porcelain tile | 576 sq ft, SUM(288 + 288), rooms 107 and 108 |
| Cross-check | 5,184 + 576 = 5,760 sq ft, the same as the separate A101 gross footprint. That is a drawing check, not a purchase quantity. |

Repeat the check
- Open Willow Creek I101 · source PDF and set the scale from its 20 ft reference with Snap to Content on.
- Trace the F1 boundary as one outline, going around rooms 107 and 108. Trace each F2 room separately.
- Give each markup its finish as the Subject in Properties, so the worksheet keeps F1 and F2 on separate rows.
- Export the worksheet CSV, save the PDF, quit and reopen the app, open the saved PDF, and compare the totals.
Read these numbers correctly
- The sheet’s Takeoff Basis says areas use room dimension boundaries with no wall-thickness deductions. Net flooring needs a boundary traced to your finish scope.
- The sheet’s +5% and +10% waste allowances are exercise assumptions and are not applied here. Use the separate flooring waste calculator for waste and pack rounding.
- The CSV’s lower Group/Value block repeats the rows above it. Adding both tables would double count.
- Quantity counts measurement records. Total and Unit hold the measured amount.
What this record does not cover
- This record covers build 99 only. Later PolyPDF releases were not part of it.
- This is a publisher test, not independent certification. It used the public Mac 1.6.27 build 99 download on a MacBook Air with Apple silicon and macOS 26.4.1, with a fresh user profile and no license key entered, so Free limits applied. On this test Mac the Upgrade window showed a notice that the app could not confirm a Pro license.
- The test used automated control of the app’s normal interface. The files offered here are as the app saved them. Dates stored inside the PDF are in UTC, so they read November 6.
- The saved PDF was reopened in PolyPDF after quitting and reopening the app, and was also opened in Apple Preview. Adobe Acrobat and other PDF viewers were not checked.
- Three hand-created areas use the whole Free allowance of 3 measurements per document. Larger finish takeoffs need Pro, which this test did not cover.
- The F1 outline has one extra point on the north wall and each F2 outline has two on its top wall. They sit on straight edges, leave the areas unchanged, and keep the labels clear of the printed room names.
- The drawing is synthetic and not for construction.
